Moving to Rhode Island
Looking for a small place with a big personality? Welcome to Rhode Island. This small state really is the melting pot of the U.S. with an abundance of unique sights. Take a gondola ride down the Woonasquatucket River in Providence or stop to look at the burning braziers that light up the river during the evening time. Feel like you need some exercise? Well the hills of Providence could be the place for you. Often referred to as the Rome of the U.S. this town will get your body pumping and the best part is that at the top of Federal Hill is little Italy where you can enjoy cuisine from any of the fine restaurants and eateries. In case you were unaware RI is known for its love of food, so much so they even built a museum to it!
Home to some of the most illustrious school in the country if you head to RI you will find intellectual people from just about any field you can think of. If you need a place to educate yourself or your family then you will be spoilt for choice by the amount of top schools and colleges on offer including the historic Brown University.
Situated on the Atlantic coast RI does experience its fair share of wind and rain as well as a hot humid summer but these things will pale in comparison to the beautiful and bountiful color that will rise up during the spring and fall seasons. You will notice a significant increase in the amount of tourists heading up to Rhode Island at these times of year.
The unfortunate downside to moving to RI is that the cost of living is higher than the national average but before you start panicking and re-planning keep in mind that they have a higher average income as well. Just remember that the cost of your relocation to Rhode Island might reflect this.
When moving to Rhode Island you need to check and plan your route carefully. The popularity of this state means that traffic can be an issue and should your route take you across the Newport Bridge don’t forget that there is a toll. If you plan your relocation to RI during the end of summer please be aware that the number of students on the move grows significantly and can cause delays.
